“attitude” in What Does The Bible Say About

Attitude

“It Serves Them Right!”

Paul's willingness to speak up is remarkable in that he was on his way to prison and had no need to warn anybody of anything (Acts 27:10). Nor did he have any control over the situation. Of course, he knew that God could preserve him from any and all dangers. Yet he reached out beyond his own interests and safety and spoke up for the safety of others.

Is that your perspective, especially when things don't go your way? Or do you keep your mouth shut with the attitude…

  • “It serves them right!”
  • “They won't pay attention anyway.”
  • “Let them stew in their own juices.”
  • “Why should I say anything? My boss doesn't listen anyway. It won't make any difference.”
  • “If they want to play that sort of game, I can, too.”
  • “I'll be out of here in a few weeks anyway.”
  • “She doesn't care about me. Why should I care about what happens to her?”
  • “He made his bed, now let him lie in it.”
