“abiezer” in Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary
ABIEZER [a bih EE zur] (father of help) — two Old Testament men bear this consoling name:
1. The son of Hammoleketh (Josh. 17:2; 1 Chr. 7:18). The renowned Gideon belonged to this family. Possibly this Abiezer is the same person as Jeezer (Num. 26:30).
2. One of David's mighty men. He was from the town of Anathoth—which later became the birthplace of the prophet Jeremiah (1 Chr. 27:12).
