1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, Over a period of time, God gradually gave us information concerning His plan to redeem the world. It was God’s will to communicate his mind to his prophets by divers (different) manners; sometimes by His Spirit, sometimes by dreams, sometimes by visions, sometimes by an audible voice, sometimes by words written by His own hand.
