Whether you believe or not, it doesn't change what is true. I can say anything, with all the conviction in the world, but it qualify as an adequate measure of truth. Don't measure God, or your actions by what others believe... they are not an adequate measure of such things...

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

Truth exchanged for a lie. I know that it sounds like paul is talking about those people over there... but let's just pretend he is talking about us. Let's pretend. What are the lies we are believing that are tripping us up so badly. I am firmly believing that my actions are based upon my beliefs, and to change my actions, I need to change what I believe, and if I am believing a lie (an untruth) then my actions will be flawed. Lord, show me your truths. Show me how you see the world...

God's Wrath Against Mankind

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,

People reflect what they know of God, and what they experience of him. I like the word picture "wrath...revealed." It also says they suppress truth in(with) unrighteousness. If we see truth as Reflections of God, and we view our purpose as one who is to reflect God into this world. We can only reflect what we have experienced. Interesting - It does seem to be supported by the next statement.. what they know of God, we see... and we don't see much...
