The bottom line is the price with which we were bought, the penalty paid, the punishment dealt, the suffering endured, the agony experienced, the cries released, the tears wept, the blood spilled, the death died. Jesus' death was for us (in our place) and for us (to our joy). So, where before there was me grabbing glory, now there is me letting it go to the worthy Savior.
