Galatians 6:2-5
2Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
I'm tempted to worry that my recent honesty about how hard it is to have my husband deployed isn't very encouraging to all of my friends with husbands entering the chaplaincy. But I got tired of pretending to be tough. And I've found a lot of comfort because I finally started admitting that it hurts. And maybe that will encourage others to do the same. That's the only way that we can bear one another's burdens. [I don't like to admit that I need help carrying 'burdens'... I'd much rather carry my own load. No wonder my back hurts.] I do find hope in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 and in 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10. When I am weak, then I am strong. And He is comforting me and preparing me to share that comfort with others when their spouses are deployed.
