1Blessed is the manwho does not walk in the counsel of the wickedor stand in the way of sinnersor sit in the seat of mockers. This chapter, although short, contains vital information for those who desire to follow God.
1. It tells us that contrary to what we believe, it is not right for us to be around sinners. In order to stand for God, we may have to let some of our closest friends go.
2. God and his word should be on our minds constantly, because only then can we stand firm and not be swayed by temptation.
3. When we do these things the Lord will bless us in all that we do.
4. We are also warned that the ungodly can't stand, because they are easily swayed and persuaded to sin.
5. Due to their weakness and unwillingness to turn away from sin and repent, they will "not stand in judgement".
