It is interesting to think that Jesus really had lineage from his father (legal lineage from David) and his mother Mary (a physical lineage to Kin David). This was a confusing prophecy and one that people cheering for Jesus to become a military leader or earthly king would base a lot of their thoughts in. Although part of the fulfillment is still to come. May we as Christ reflectors set things on earth right so that when He returns, we have already been being the change in the world.
