This verse holds true even in present times. Like when I first became a christian I thought I could listen to the same music and watch the same things that I did before. Those things were a second master. Money even a girlfriend or boyfriend can be a second master. Anything that takes most of your time and focus is a master. God needs to be our one and only master.
