1 Peter 1:8
8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
This is describing the very root of our faith in Christ. We have not seen Him with our physical eyes, yet we believe in him as our Saviour. Christ Himself stated to Thomas, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Part of that blessing Christ spoke of is the love and joy mentioned in this verse. Perhaps this love and joy takes on a greater significance having not seen Him. There is a human barrier that takes place when we rely too much on our physical senses.
