Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Paul is reminding The Church that they are free. However he also includes a subtle point that, while people may not know it, they were in bondage. You can not appreciate that you are free, if you do not know you were in slavery.
