Ezekiel 33:7
7“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.

When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself." Warning people and being confrontational is not my favorite activity. But if God has given me a message of warning, I must not shrink back, be vague, or apologize. I must give a clear message of warning.

Daniel could have taken credit (and a lot of praise) for his wisdom in interpreting this dream. But he showed true leadership and humility by giving the glory and credit to God for the revelation of His will.

Daniel mediated on behalf of heathen sorcerers - his competition for the ear of the king. He showed true integrity and leadership by caring for them and their salvation.
