Proverbs 8:22
22“The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works,Or way; or dominion,Or The LORD possessed me at the beginning of his work; or The LORD brought me forth at the beginning of his workbefore his deeds of old;
Jehovah's Witnesses claim this vers teaches that Wisdom=Jesus. 1. "possessed" does not mean created. 2. This verse has nothing to do with Jesus of Nazereth. Proverbs 8:12 says, "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence" If wisdom is Jesus, who is prudence? Jesus' sister? Proverbs 8:1 describes understanding as yelling out in the streets - Who is understanding? Jesus' brother? Proverbs 9:1-2, "Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; She has prepared her food, she has mixed her wine; She has also set her table" God's attribute of wisdom is personified as female. There are no female messiahs. Does Jesus live in a house with seven pillars and a banquet hall?

Colossians 1:16-17
16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
The word "other" is not in the Greek texts as the Watchtower has inserted it all four times before "things" in their New World Translation. The Kingdom Interlinear Translation has brackets around [other]. c.f. John 1:3

Colossians 1:15
The Supremacy of Christ
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
"Firstborn" c.f. Genesis 41:51-52 Joseph named the firstborn Manasseh, “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” 52He named the second Ephraim, “For,” he said, “God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.” Jeremiah 31:9 “With weeping they will come, And by supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk by streams of waters, On a straight path in which they will not stumble; For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.” Why is second born (Ephraim) called the "firstborn"? Also, in Psalm 89:27, David is called "firstborn". In context (Colossians 1:18), why is Jesus called the "firstborn" from the dead? Was He the first one to raise from the dead? "Firstborn" can mean the "preeminent son" If firstborn means first created, then why doesn't this verse say "first created"

Luke 24:16
16but they were kept from recognizing him.
Note: they "were prevented" from recognising Jesus and v. 31, "then their eyes were opened and they recognised Him". The fault lies with the disciples and not with the form of Jesus. c.f. John 20:14-15

John 20:14-15
14At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
It is true that Mary did not recognise Jesus - but the fault lies not with the form of Jesus, but the eyes of Mary. c.f. Luke 24:16, 31

Philippians 2:9-11
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest placeand gave him the name that is above every name,
This is a quote from Isaiah 45:23, "I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance." The Kingdom Interlinear Translatation, page 18, paragraphs 3 and 4, speaks of knowing when to translate "Kurios" or "Theos" into the Divine Name by referring back to the referenced Hebrew texts and determining who is speaking. So, the Greek translation of Philippians 2:11 is "...Jesus Christos Kurios..." is therefore translated as "Jesus Christ is Jehovah God"
