This is in the middle of a very personally depressing lament. "God has broken my teeth with gravel...", etc. What comes out is a realization of God's compassion and the hope that comes from having a relationship with Him. It becomes the sole important thing in life. "God's compassions are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. Therefore I have hope. God has compassion on (and reveals Himself to) those who seek Him."
Am I seeking Him? Do I find hope in His compassion, or an I mostly ambivalent?
