Prayer here is something heartfelt, anguished... I don't think this is "if you don't know what to pray for the Spirit will fill in the blanks" more a sense that if the prayer is so deeply cried that our words will not express it, hence it comes out in "groans" and "sighs" that the Holy Spirit reads our innermost pains and aches, understand what we REALLY cry for and joins us in that prayer even if we cannot formulate the words or ways to express it.
