An individual is lost without Christ, with no way to save himself. The lost soul can have new life imparted to him only through his identification with the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If we make anything else, other than the Cross of Christ, the object of our Faith, we frustrate the Grace of God and the Holy Spirit's work in our lives is either limited or stopped.
