this verse is awesome. instead of crying and complaining about their awful condition, Paul and Silas praise GOD through prayer and singing. And GOD was pleased in that, and HE freed them from thier prison. as i read this portion this morning, i remember a church song that has to do with praising GOD...now it's a Spanish song so i'll write my translation. 'when the church of GOD praises GOD wonderful things began to happen. There is healing, power, liberation, you can feel the presence of GOD."
