Okay, let the kids sin, that will make pouring out the grace that much more fulfilling and wonderful... It is almost what it sounds like he is saying. I never saw parenting in that way... I wonder... I should hit my Dad with this one :) Here is what I wrote - I would love comments!!!
Hey Dad, I have been mulling over these verses and thought about parenting... and thought that this could challenge the view of how a parent is to act. What are we to show the kids, God's wrath, or his grace.
I can hear many objections, such as "they have to acknowledge their sin" and "they have to put their trust in the grace-giver." But then I think, Are we actually doing that in all these areas of sin in our lives? And aren't our position as children the same, one is adopted and the other is by birthright?
