13“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. No one will listen to you about anything unless you say it with "flavor", "seal", "zest". We must make it appeal to them, make it fit their life. If it is boring or dead...they won't listen. Our words will be cast out, trodden under foot, useless to them who need the word. We need to be a good and savory salt block.
