the law proves sin is bad. Our awareness of it, on one hand, entices us, and on the other hand, destroys us.
It is God's will, because it returns us to a place where we become aware of our need to be utterly dependent upon God

It is interesting how, one of the main points of a recent atheistic movement is how the knowledge of sin is repressive force that entangles us. It is amazing how Paul Agrees with them. But his conclusion is even more en-vitalizing for us. See vrs 13
