Jesus reveals that He is the true bread, the bread of God, the bread which descends from heaven and gives life to the world. I know there is much debate over the proper meaning of the word “world” but this is out of the scope of this study; however I hope that by the end of this study you will agree that it can only be that of a particular group of people. For now let us focus on the fact that Jesus is the bread that gives life.
