Galatians 3:1
Chapter 3
Faith or Observance of the Law
1You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
The Galatian Church was shifting from the foundation of the Cross of Christ, to faith in man-made doctrines, laws, rules and traditions. That word "bewitched" reveals the satanic influence that accompanied the twisted teaching that was moving them away from Christ.

Galatians 5:2
2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
Paul presents his authority here, ("I Paul say unto you..."), declaring that if the Believer leaves Faith in the Cross to revert back into Law, (Law of any kind), his religion becomes worthless. You cannot have it both ways.

Galatians 4:9
9But now that you know God–or rather are known by God–how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
After coming to know God through Faith in Christ, the Galatians were going back to misplaced Faith in rules, traditions, good works, sacraments, symbolism and Law. Instead of progressing in their Faith, the church was back into bondage. Sounds very similar to the Modern Church.

Galatians 5:1
Chapter 5
Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
To abandoned one's faith in the Cross and go into Law (of any kind) guarantees bondage once again to the sin nature.
