If one believes the Holy Bible accruately reports the teaching and preaching of Jesus Christ then a believer cannot confess anything that contradicts Christ. It is THE litmus test. Jesus said we are sinners and that we must repent and believe in His name. A teaching that opposes this is false, otherwise Jesus is a liar. If Jesus is a liar then he is not the Christ but a devil. If he is a devil then we follow a false God and an idol. Therefore the Holy Bible has to be the only and final authority in salvation through Christ.
