Romans 6:16
16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
again, Paul puts it much better than I put it in my previous comment. We can't say we believe something and then act differently. I mean, we can, but we are just fooling ourselves. Our beliefs may not be what we are willing to admit. Reminds me of the verse - I would that you were hot or cold, but because you are luke warm, I will spew you out of my mouth - Okay - rough paraphrase - But I think I understand God's perspective better. We are what we do. We act on our beliefs. Our beliefs are not what we say with our deceptive tongue, but what is evident from our actions.

Romans 6:11
11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:8
8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Here is where it is. We must believe and act on that belief. What if it hasn't quite sunk in yet...I guess that is why we are to read his word. It will help us learn so that we can believe. Lord let me drink this as milk. Let me assimilated this into my life so that the fruit you promise becomes evident.

Romans 3:3
3What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?
Whether you believe or not, it doesn't change what is true. I can say anything, with all the conviction in the world, but it qualify as an adequate measure of truth. Don't measure God, or your actions by what others believe... they are not an adequate measure of such things...
