Some advocate that this verse teaches that spirituals (gifts), healings & tongues have been done away with, because we have the Bible now. We don't need these things anymore. They think Spirituals (gifts), healings & tongues were only for the time of the Apostles in order to establish the church. This kind of interpretation cannot be substantiated in the Bible. I do believe that the Bible is the perfect word of God and a foundation for all that is true. The “…perfect…” is Jesus and all spirituals (gifts), healings & tongues will not cease until the “Perfect One” comes again. If the church needed these thing back then to fulfill God’s perfect will and since God never changes; then how much more do we need to walk in these things of God today?
