There is some controversy on the meaning of Agrippa's statement. It could mean that Agrippa was greatly moved by Paul's speech or it could insinuate that he felt Paul was attempting to convert him too quickly and essentially asking, "Do you think it is that easy to change my mind?"

Agrippa, being of Herodian descent, and at least nominally a Jew by religion, would have been familiar with the discourse Paul now gives and the historical situations of which he speaks.
