Pleasures Are Meaningless
1I thought in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good.” But that also proved to be meaningless. Here Solomon is giving to himself all eathly pleasures and still in the end he comes out feeling empty. It doesnot matter how much you have or how little you have. Without Jesus Christ in your heart, you life will be empty and meaningless.
In my own life, I know that I have been in both situations. I have had nothing, living in the park and I have had the opportunity to give myself every desire. In both instances I was left feeling empty and lonely. It was not until I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart that I finally found happiness. Only Jesus can fill the hole in your heart.
