Many think that Jesus' quoted this scripture while on the cross. However, if you read the entire chapter, you'll see that this is actually a prophecy fulfilled by Jesus. The casting of lots for His clothes and the piercing of His hands and feet are clear details of Jesus' crucifixion. Imagine the painful irony and expression of infinite love: the Creator dying for His creation.
