Job friends are not worthy the merit to hear their prayers to God (Prov 15:29) God advise them to chanel their prayer via thru the saints in this verse God says :go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him. so it is righteous when we let the saints to pray for us

Jesus want us to go to his Church he founded not to go directly to God. Cornelio is a good person and go directly to God, our lord advise Cornelio to go to Saint Petter the 1st Pope of the Church he founded and them become a member of that church thru Baptism.

Church is the instrument of Christ to save the faithful.They recieve forgiveness and sanctifying thru Saint Paul one of the early priest in early Church.

The fulfilment of this verse in the New testament is in Mat 16:18-19)Christ is God and founder of the Christian Church, never been destroyed since the time he founded till this day, inspite of great suffering martyred, even the gate of cannot be destroyed, even many people who went away on this church (1 John 2:17-19)the anti-Christ. This Church will last forever coz Christ company on this Church (Mat 28:20)No other Church pressence in the 1st Century until now is the Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church
