18“Forget the former things;do not dwell on the past.

This really spoke to me. I look at my life and where i fall short, but God is there and he is doing something in me. This desert of a life will bear fruit that will touch many. This is the promise I will claim and believe in. This is the direction I will go. I will not be dragged down by the past. It will be watered by the grace and mercy of God and its lessons will bear much good fruit.

Romans 4:17

17As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”Gen. 17:5 He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed–the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

I like this verse, as it doesn't seem to have a lot of importance, except to revere God and his power, But as I read more, I realize that this verse is kind of central... it expresses the faith, and in whom, that keeps being referred to as the expression that God responds to by crediting us with what we need to commune with him, Righteousness
