5This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. I have realized that when I am trying to see in the dark, I make mistakes. God is light. I should trust in His light instead of trying to see in the dark. Have faith in the Light of the Lord. Take extra care not to be deceived by the angel of light who will only lead to darkness.

This is all the meaning wrapped up in one verse. It represents the unsurmountable love displayed in the ultimate sacrifice made by my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God sacrificed His Son so that I might live. All I have to do is acknowledge it, accept it, and live it.

Without the love of God, where would I be? A life without love is a life without hope. I cannot save myself. I need God's love and Christ's mediation to obtain that love from God. So, because God loves me, He sent His Son to allow me to receive that love.
