Jesus Calms the Storm
35That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Jesus knew there would be a storm. Jesus wanted to help them learn that his presence was sufficient. Jesus gave them the gift of calming the storm. Jesus challenged them to trust him more. Trust and fear were mingled.

I wonder how often tax collectors came asking God for mercy? When he told this story, were those who listened laughing at the thought of a tax collector even going to the temple?
