The Beginning
1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In one simple verse, we record the establishment of both space and time.
We must also note that the Hebrew word Elohim is used here to refer to God. It is plural. Yet, the associated verb is singular. So, from the very first verse in the Bible, we have an allusion to the Trinity.

Since Mark is describing basic Jewish customs, we conclude that his intended audience is probably non-Jewish.
