Romans 1:16

Paul's Longing to Visit Rome
8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.9God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you10in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.

11I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong–12that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.13I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.

14I am obligated both to Greeks and non–Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.15That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.

16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,Or is from faith to faith just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”Hab. 2:4

The gospel is meant for salvation. We should proclaim it with boldness. We can't hide our bibles when we are in public or not talk about Jesus when at work.

Our world is obsessed with power, but not so interested in the gospel. Humans seek power in money, political influence, or through crystals and other occult pratices, but the power of the gospel is truly powerful. It is supernatural; it is the power of salvation, a power that truly transforms, heals, and delivers, a power that brings us into right relationships with God. We do not have to be timid in sharing the gospel, because we are weilding the power of the God who created the world through the power of His Word.

Witnessing isn't anything to be ashamed of. You are doing the other person a great favor by introducing them to God's plan for salvation.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are ashamed of Jesus, He will be ashamed of you in heaven. Reign in Him so he can reign in your life for eternity.

Clearly predestination is disputed, as this verse says God has the power through the Gospel (Christ's sacrifice) to save "everyone! who believes!". "Jew first" - my sense is that Jesus still wanted (or wants to) use a select (Called?) group of people, like He did (or does?) with the Jews to spread His message.
