Revelation
Chapter 1
Prologue
1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

3Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

It is interesting to wonder what John must have thought about this whole thing. I mean he was writing down on paper an experience that he just had. I wonder if he understood the meaning of what he saw or like many of the prophets of old he just faithfully penned the story of what had just taken place. John had been deemed faithful to both God's word and to the testimony of Jesus Christ. This was not so fly-by-night preacher who is writing this down, it is the Apostle John. There very beloved of Jesus. Se we can be sure that what is written here is what John say. If we believe that John's Gospel is trust worthy then we must do the same with the book of revelation.
