Psalm 72 Of Solomon. 1Endow the king with your justice, O God,the royal son with your righteousness. 2He willOr May he; similarly in verses 3-11 and 17 judge your people in righteousness, 3The mountains will bring prosperity to the people, 4He will defend the afflicted among the people 5He will endureSeptuagint; Hebrew You will be feared as long as the sun, 6He will be like rain falling on a mown field, 7In his days the righteous will flourish; 8He will rule from sea to sea 9The desert tribes will bow before him 10The kings of Tarshish and of distant shores 11All kings will bow down to him 12For he will deliver the needy who cry out, 13He will take pity on the weak and the needy 14He will rescue them from oppression and violence, 15Long may he live! 16Let grain abound throughout the land; 17May his name endure forever; 18Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, 19Praise be to his glorious name forever;who alone does marvelous deeds. may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
