peace of God — The oldest manuscripts and versions read, “The peace of Christ” (compare Phi_4:7). “The peace of God.” Therefore Christ is God. Peace was His legacy to His disciples before He left them (Joh_14:27), “MY peace I give unto you.” Peace is peculiarly His to give. Peace follows love (Col_3:14; Eph_4:2, Eph_4:3).

This is SO my favourite vs!!!!! Peace IS the earmark of authority! When we walk in the authority that Jesus calls us to ,Satan has no power in our lives, homes, famiies, our bank accounts etc..!!!!! It is so awesome, get the peace that surpasses ALL understanding (the peace of Chirst)and bam, just like that the enemy flees in seven ways. He has given you authority... over all the power that the enemy posses, nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19 Praise God, the Blood of Jesus... the power of Jesus... this is what makes all hell shudder and scatter in fear.

God actively guards us with his peace. What does that mean? It is beyond my understanding that God's peace is a powerful force with the ability to protect both my heart and mind. What a great gift from God; another fascinating mystery of the faith.
