Prosperity Comes from the LORD.
A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.
1Unless the LORD Ps 78:69builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD Ps 121:4guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.

2It is vain for you to rise up early,
To Lit delay sittingretire late,
To Gen 3:17, 19eat the bread of Lit toilspainful labors;
For He gives to His Ps 60:5beloved Job 11:18, 19; Prov 3:24; Eccl 5:12even in his sleep.

3Behold, Gen 33:5; 48:4; Josh 24:3, 4; Ps 113:9children are a Or heritagegift of the LORD,
The Deut 7:13; 28:4; Is 13:18fruit of the womb is a reward.
4Like arrows in the hand of a Ps 112:2; 120:4warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.

5How Ps 128:2, 3blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
Prov 27:11They will not be ashamed
When they Is 29:21; Amos 5:12speak with their enemies Gen 34:20in the gate.
