3When You did Ps 65:5; 66:3, 5; 106:22awesome things which we did not expect,
You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence.

4For from days of old 1 Cor 2:9they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of the one who Is 25:9; 30:18; 40:31waits for Him.

5You Ex 20:24meet him who rejoices in Is 56:1doing righteousness,
Who Is 26:13; 63:7remembers You in Your ways.
Behold, Is 12:1You were angry, for we sinned,
We continued in them a long time;
And shall we be saved?

6For all of us have become like one who is Is 6:5unclean,
And all our Is 46:12; 48:1righteous deeds are like a filthy garment;
And all of us Ps 90:5, 6; Is 1:30wither like a leaf,
And our Is 50:1iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

7There is Is 59:4; Ezek 22:30no one who calls on Your name,

9Do not be Is 57:17; 60:10angry beyond measure, O LORD,
Is 43:25; Mic 7:18Nor remember iniquity forever;
Behold, look now, all of us are Ps 79:13; Is 63:8Your people.

10Your Is 48:2; 52:1holy cities have become a Is 1:7; 6:11wilderness,

11Our holy and beautiful 2 Kin 25:9; Ps 74:5-7; Is 63:18house,
Where our fathers praised You,
Has been burned by fire;
And Lam 1:7, 10, 11all our precious things have become a ruin.

12Will You Ps 74:10, 11, 18, 19; Is 42:14; 63:15restrain Yourself at these things, O LORD?
Will You keep silent and afflict us beyond measure?
