Jesus Made Like His Brothers
5It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.6But there is a place where someone has testified:
“What is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

7You made him a littleOr him for a little while; also in verse 9 lower than the angels;
you crowned him with glory and honor

8and put everything under his feet.”Psalm 8:4-6
In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.
9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

10In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.11Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.12He says,
“I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises.”Psalm 22:22

13And again,
“I will put my trust in him.”Isaiah 8:17
And again he says,
“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”Isaiah 8:18

14Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.16For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.17For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement forOr and that he might turn aside God's wrath, taking away the sins of the people.18Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Now when(CHRIST)JESUS(THE RESURRECTION AND LIFE) was RISEN early the first day of the week([after HE[JESUS] had destroyed him(the devil],which had[therefore nolonger having+]the power of death), HE[JESUS] appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom HE[JESUS] had Cast (OUT!) seven devils.10And she went and told them that had been with HIM, as they mourned and wept.11And they, when they had heard that HE[JESUS] was ALIVE, and had been seen of her, believed not.12After that HE appeared in ANOTHER form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.13And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. 14Afterward HE appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and UPBRAIDED(chasten, chastise, chew out*, chide, criticize, give a talking-to*, jump on*, lay down the law) them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen HIM after HE was RISEN. 15And HE said unto them, Go ye into ALL the world, and preach the GOSPEL [lMiddle English, from Old English gōdspel (ultimately translation of Greek euangelion) : gōd, good; see good + spel, news.] (of the Kingdom of God(righteousness,peace and joy in the Holy Ghost) to every creature(whosoever).16He that Believeth and is Baptized shall be saved(rescued,renewed,reconciled2God); but he that believeth not shall be damned.17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY NAME, they shall CAST OUT(And Keep Out!) devils; they shall speak with NEW tongues;18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall NOT hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and THEY SHALL RECOVER. 19So then after the LORD had spoken unto them, HE was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God(until His enemies are made His footstool).20And they went forth, and preached every where, the LORD working with them, and confirming the WORD with signs following.
