Hebrews
Chapter 1
The Son Superior to Angels
1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
3The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

5For to which of the angels did God ever say,
“You are my Son;
today I have become your FatherOr have begotten youPsalm 2:7?
Or again,
“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son”2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chron. 17:13?

6And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
“Let all God's angels worship him.”Deut. 32:43 (see Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint)

7In speaking of the angels he says,
“He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire.”Psalm 104:4

8But about the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.

9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.”Psalm 45:6,7

10He also says,
“In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.

11They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.

12You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”Psalm 102:25-27

13To which of the angels did God ever say,
“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet”Psalm 110:1?

14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Jesus is Jehovah in human flesh. c.f. Colossans 2:9 "9For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form" and John 14:9 "He who has seen Me has seen the Father"

This verse is incredible because it points to the fact that Christ is "upholding all things by the power of His word." The verb tense in the greek is includes past present and future all at once. Wow! See also John 1:1-3

Christ is the incarnation of the glory of the Father. Christ alone was the atonement for our sins. He was perfect and knew no sin, but the Father was pleased with His sacrifice, so that we could be with Him to praise Him through eternity. The right hand of the Majesty on high - As it were associated with the supreme Majesty, in glory everlasting, and in the government of all things in time and in eternity; for the right hand is the place of the greatest eminence, 1Ki_2:19. The king himself, in eastern countries, sits on the throne; the next to him in the kingdom, and the highest favourite, sits on his right hand; and the third greatest personage, on his left.

If Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God and an exact imprint, does this mean He is God? Being like the ray of the sun, like nelson's commentary says, is not the same as being the sun. Being an exact imprint seems to imply something other than the original. Nelson's commentary also uses the term It also uses term "essentially divine" Further study needed. Tradional teaching of the Trinity says that Jesus is God (If God is represented by the sun in this analogy, then Jesus should not be represented by the rays of the sun, but He should also be the sun.) The term "essentially divine" or being something other than the original seem to water down historical teachings of the Trinity.
