Chapter 23
The Lord Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.Hebrew beside waters of rest

3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousnessOr in right paths
for his name's sake.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,Or the valley of deep darkness
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6SurelyOr Only goodness and mercyOr steadfast love shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwellOr shall return to dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.Hebrew for length of days

the Lord is my faithful shepherd. I shall not in fear or in want because He is with me and He lead me to green pastures and quite water. I shall not fear with my enemy (devils) since He is with me. I know He will protect me and he prepares the table in front of my enemy.

this isn’t a passive psalm to me, though some may think so, we still have to walk in the struggle, we still have to walk the paths of righteousness, we still have to go in order for “goodness and love will follow me”... So it has both the inward and the outward, the peace and the peace-making... the peace comes in the midst of the struggle/walk with God in the world.
